Food Allergy Testing

Food Allergy Testing

The E-95 Basic Food Panel tests for 94 of the most commonly eaten foods, plus a Candida Screen. MVL pioneered and uses the well-validated ELISA method to measure combined IgG4 and IgE antibodies for food sensitivity testing. This test provides a comprehensive report and are reported low, moderate, and high.

Sometimes it is not food sensitivities but it’s the infection, Candida. Candida is normally found in very small amounts in the human intestinal tract; small amounts do not cause problems in a healthy person. Too much Candida can result in symptoms very similar to those caused by food allergies. Moderate or High on the Candida screen means that your body has produced high numbers of antibodies to Candida at some time and should be treated to maintain optimal gut health.

Curious about the Food Allergy Testing. What do you charge? Is this service still being offered with COVID? Thank you Megan Summers 250-809-5882 megan.summers90@outlook.com

Hi Megan, First step is to become a patient of Dr. Hunt. This would require setting up and initial consultation in which he would discuss your current health concern(s), and past medical history and do a screening physical exam. There are different options for food allergy testing and this would be discussed during that first visit. The office is open during COVID and we are able to provide these tests. Would you please phone the office to schedule your appointment, 2503686999. Lisa

Hello, I've had some digestive quirks for quite some time and I'd like to have a food allergy test done so that I may potentially rule out possibilities and avoid things that my body doesn't like. I'd suspected that the issues could be similar to crohns or colitis or IBS (my brother has severe colitis). I'd gotten a colonoscopy in (i think) 2017 and the results didn't point to any solutions. Please let me know what the next steps in this process are.
